A pleasant hike with good view of Rainier and Colwitz Chimneys
The White River Road was closed for the season, so I had to bike about 4 extra miles to reach the trailhead.

The trail was in amazing shape. I was in the forest the entire way to Owyhigh Lakes, where the first false summit of Tamanos Mountain comes into view. From there I continued to the saddle, still on good, well defined trail. As you climb, you can see all four Cowlitz Chimneys, and they make a pretty cool group of little summits.

Once you're on the saddle, Rainier is right in front of you. From there I turned right, bypassed two false summits, and finally reached the true summit on the far north side. I didn't find the summit register though.
